From the recycled wood used on our flooring and furnishings, to reclaimed furniture, to our salvaged vintage patio furniture, we encourage responsible design and inspired living, both for ourselves and the people we serve.

To help portray the Ubuntu world-view philosophy, 1140 Main Street has undergone structural changes that reveal an environmentally friendly design. Transforming the historic 19th century building located in the heart of downtown Napa's restaurant row into a model of this "green" design required the inclusion of reclaimed wood, which has been hand-crafted by local artisans, into the beautiful flooring and wooden furnishings of the dining room. Extending to a comfortable garden patio with relaxed dining in recycled patio chairs from the 40's, the "green" design creates an ambiance of harmony with the earth and the foods that grow from it. The bar selection also complies with sustainable farming techniques, as a majority of the 200 wines available come from sustainably farmed grapes.
